2020 Guidelines, Instructor Information:
Good day AHA and ECSI Instructors,
I would like to take a moment to thank all of you for your continued dedication and commitment to our communities. The CPR and first aid courses that you teach make a huge difference in many lives. That is why we "do-what-we-do."
The 2020 AHA Guidelines BLS Instructor Update Course online, provides AHA BLS Instructors and Emergency Care & Safety Institute necessary updates on new science and key changes published in the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. This course also reviews the BLS Training Materials and guidance on how to use these materials to incorporate 2020 science and education updates into current BLS courses.
Along with the new standards comes new materials and as of now we all should be using
the new and updated training materials and DVD's.
Courses Reminders:
All AHA/ECSI students who are taking certification courses must be issued course completion eCards.
Exams are available for: Healthcare Provider, Instructor courses and Heartsaver. Email us for the updated versions or log into the AHA instructor website and click on the Exam link in the left-hand colunm.
All (BLS & Heartsaver) Instructors are qualified to teach the AHA First Aid courses. ECSI Instructors are able to teach all levels of
approved courses through the Emergency Care & Safety Institute.
“Hands Only” CPR instructor information and hand-outs for your BLS classes are available on the AHA
Instructor Network, under Instructor Resources in the upper left corner of screen, once you are logged in.
These hand-outs should be available to all students in your courses.
I invite you to save this website to your favorites and refer to it for user information, payment and forms in the future.
I closing, I thank you again for your commitment to teaching these lifesaving skills to our communities and look
forward to seeing you at the next update in March of 2022.
My very best regards,
Linda J. Gosselin M.S., REMT IC, Ed.
